For those who have learnt the technique previously, it’s a chance to go deeper into the practice in a group setting.
This breathing technique calms the mind and brings us into the present moment, while optimizing the chemistry of the body.
It does this lowering the carbon dioxide in the body. Lowering the CO2 in the blood has the effect of raising its PH to very high levels (7.8 PH, normal blood PH range 7.35 – 7.45). The Wim Hof Method breathing has also proven in several studies to allow us to influence our autonomic nervous system and immune system – something that was previously thought to be impossible.
